1. The Linen Shirt

Linen shirts are a must for staying cool and looking sharp. Opt for classic colours like white, light blue, or beige. Pair a linen shirt with chino shorts and loafers for a relaxed yet polished look. OR tuck your linen shirt into tailored trousers and add a pair of leather loafers or brogues for a sophisticated style.

2. Chino Shorts

Chino shorts are versatile and can be dressed up or down. Choose neutral tones for easy pairing. Pair chino shorts with a polo shirt and flip-flops for a laid-back beach look. OR Combine them with a casual button-down shirt and canvas sneakers for a stylish city outfit.

3. Lightweight Blazer

A lightweight blazer is perfect for those summer evenings when you want to add a touch of sophistication. Think of loose weave materials like linen or in a hopsack weave style. You can wear it casually too. Pair a lightweight blazer over a tee with chinos and loafers for a dapper evening look

4. Classic Polo Shirt

Polo shirts are a timeless summer essential. Opt for breathable fabrics like cotton or pique. There have been some great modern styles of polo shirts popping up these days giving gents the ability to add some stylish flair. You could rock a polo shirt with linen shorts and boat shoes for a casual summer outfit. And for a refined, smart-casual look, tuck the polo shirt into chinos and add a belt and loafers.

5. Stylish Swim Trunks

A good pair of swim trunks is essential for beach and pool days. Choose a pair that fits well and is comfortable. Opt for swim trunks with a linen shirt and slides for a poolside gathering

6. Comfortable Sandals or Loafers

Sandals and Loafer styles are a must-have for summer. Look for ones that offer both comfort and support. Wear either with your linen trousers and a short-sleeve button-down shirt for a casual yet sophisticated outfit.

1. The Versatile Summer Dress

A summer dress is a quintessential piece that effortlessly combines comfort and style. Opt for lightweight fabrics like cotton or linen in vibrant colours or playful patterns. Pair a floral sundress with flat sandals and a wide-brimmed hat for a relaxed yet chic look or dress it up with statement jewelry and low heels.

2. Lightweight Linen Shirt

Linen shirts are breathable and perfect for hot summer days. They can be dressed up or down, making them a versatile addition to your wardrobe. Keep in mind that linen is a wrinkly bugger but that’s the style of that fabric and it's meant to look a bit more relaxed. Don’t get too caught up in a perfectly pressed shirt.

3. Stylish Sandals

Not a hot take, but sandals are a summer staple that offers both comfort and style. They're incredibly versatile and can be paired with almost anything. I like to have a pair for more relaxed vibes and a dressier pair for days when I want to sparkle a bit more

4. Stylish Swimwear

A well-fitted swimsuit is a must for any summer wardrobe. This will vary from body to body and person to person, but choose a style that makes you feel confident. It may take a lot of searching but don’t give up because there are so many options available to us these days. Try looking for colours other than black to add a bit more fun to your beachwear. Don’t forget to grab a stylish cover-up and sun hat for extra protection and a seamless transition from the beach to the boardwalk.

5. Tailored Shorts

Shorts are essential for staying cool during the summer months. Choose materials like cotton or linen for maximum comfort. Pair tailored shorts with a tucked-in tee and slide sandals for an easygoing, stylish outfit OR Combine tailored shorts with a flowy button-up blouse and ballet flats for a work-appropriate look that’s also cool in the heat.

1. Sunscreen:

Don’t forget your face as well as your body. I use a different sunscreen specifically for my face to avoid clogging pores or wearing super heavy creams.

Brand Recommendation: Supergoop.

2. Sunglasses:

I have multiple sunnies. I have a pair in my car, house and purse. I tend to lose them or they get broken (I think I lose a pair every year at the beach after a wave sneaks up on me). I’ve been a big fan of Goodr if you tend to find you suffer from the same affliction.

Brand Recommendation: Goodr – great deal and almost indestructible.

3. Classic White Sneakers

White sneakers are a summer staple that offers both comfort and style. They're incredibly versatile and can be paired with almost anything. Whether you are a Vans, Converse, Nike or any other brand fan, do yourself a favour and grab some. I have been in love with my white sneakers from Rothy’s because they are comfy AND machine washable. 3 years later and they are still white!
